The 64th Annual Reunion
October 12-14, 2018
Our 64rd annual reunion is coming up in just a few months, and I hope you’ll join us in Boston for three days: October 12, 13, and 14, 2018.
Because there is so much to see in the Boston area, we’re beginning our tour on the morning of Friday, October 12, so you’ll want to arrive on October 11 or before. We will begin with an extensive visit to the USS Constitution and its museum before going on to tour Paul Revere’s House and Faneuil Hall. Dinner will be at the historic Durgin Park, where our guest, Hugh Fairfax (brother of the current Lord Fairfax) will speak to us about his fantastic new book, “Fairfax of Virginia: The Forgotten Story of America’s Only Peerage.” Hugh and his wife, Victoria, are coming over from England for the event and will be with us for the duration of the reunion.
On Saturday, October 13, we will be touring the Old State House in Boston, Bunker Hill Monument, and Longfellow House (Washington’s headquarters). The staff at each location is very excited about the visit of the Washington family and the tours we will receive will be tailored to our interests. After a stop at Minute Man National Historic Park, we will hold the annual meeting at the historic Colonial Inn in Concord, Massachusetts.
On Sunday, October 14, we will attend the worship service at Old South Church in Boston, where we will present the congregation with a silver communion plate engraved with the Washington coat of arms. Afterwards, we will visit the Old South Meeting House before grabbing a lobster roll boxed lunch from Luke’s Lobster for a picnic at Reader’s Park.
